Who Am I in the light of our redemption?

Teacher: Bro Opeyemi

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

This teaching is only for those who have received the life of Christ. It’s commonly said in our churches that come out and give your life to Jesus. As a matter of fact, we don’t have any life in us that we can give since the fall of man in the garden of Eden. The real man had died.
So man was just nothing but a living dust, then Jesus came to give life to man so that he can live again.

John 10:10-11
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: but I am come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

This life was totally different from the life Adam possessed before his fall. There’s a big difference between breath and life itself. The life that Jesus gave us was the life of God Himself and not the breath kind of life.

1 Corinthians 15:45-48
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

Do you now see that the life Jesus gave is eternal? It’s a life of God in man. Man becoming God.

1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Verse 11b says

1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

How then can I know who I am?

John 17vs 3
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

To know who we really are, there’s a need for us to seek the knowledge of who God is. The more we know God, the more we know ourselves. Paul said, “not yet I but Christ which live in me

The only way you can know who you are is in the word. What God want to give you in your life is not money, healing, job, or property. But the word of God in your spirit. Knowing who you are is not through “Seven Way to Success” or “How To Discover Your Purpose?” but the knowledge of Christ in you.

Colossians 2vs8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Praise God

Ayomide Festus Speaks on Prophecy.

We will briefly check out some truths on the topic, Spirit of prophecy.

You may have been intrigued on the concept of prophecy as it affects spirituality. This post promises to satisfy your curiosity.

Prophecy is a gift of the spirit. And as Paul said in 1Corinthians 12:1, he wants the church to be aware. It is not the will of God that we are ignorant, and uninformed about these things.
The spirit of prophecy is the same spirit that works all in all.  All gifts in all ministries. See 1st Corinthians 12:4 ; Now there are diversities of gifts, but of the same Spirit.
Of the nine gifts, brothers and sisters, Fathers have made us understand that prophecy is classified under gifts that “say”.

This class can be termed as Utterance Gifts: Prophecy, Diverse kind of tongues and Interpretation of tongues.  Prophecy, then, is the revelation of the mind of God concerning the future that edifies, exalts and comforts.

That tells us immediately that anything said about the future and in the church would not be prophecy.
That one will die in cold blood if he travels will not account for prophecy. See what 1st Corinthians 14:3.
1st Corinthians 14:3 – But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
However, the plan of redemption includes the fact that once a man is saved and is baptized in the holy ghost, praying in tongues and “prophecy” are signs.
Acts 19:6 ; And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Every believer is meant to be able to pray in tongues and prophesy as well the moment he is saved.

The same spirit, remember, works all in all. It is never a higher power you need to prophesy. NO!

This same spirit, the kind that rose up Jesus from the dead, that now dwells on the inside of you, is able to work in you to will and to do of his good pleasure
It is however important and necessary that the church pray that the body of Christ may be edified…

Praying in tongues and interpreting are equal to Prophecy. Each time a tongue is given and is not interpreted (mainly as a ministry gift i.e. when one is ministering say in a church), the church is not edified.
That’s why Paul said it is better to prophesy and get the church edified, which is the body of Christ.
Prophecies are never bad news. NO!
How is this gift of the spirit manifested?
It is manifested by will.
Philippians 2:13 says, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Prophecy is done by will. How do we give a tongue? By will.
How are we sure we are saying the right thing? See, we have the holy spirit on the inside and he is the seal and assurance of our ‘familyhood’
See Luke 11:11-13, “If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”
This is our confidence!
Since, therefore, we grow even in the things of the lord, Prophecies can be corrected until you mature into that same image as Jesus.

A man that has used 6months in ministry can never be compared to a 50 year old man in the ministry. Hence, there is a more explicit accuracy even in spiritual things. Don’t worry, go ahead and manifest it. You are never saying nonsense
See this: 1st Corinthians 14:29, Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
Seen that?
Prophecy can be judged by more spiritually mature people. It’s important that we prophesy even unto edifying.
The things of the spirit are freely flowing in us.

We are the blessed!

When Jesus said unto them, ”Fill up the waterpots with water”, he clearly meant ”Fill up yourselves with me or with the word.

Now verse 8: ”And he said unto them, ”Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. and they bare it.”

verse 9: ”When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: [but the servants which draw the water knew] the governor of the feast called the bridegroom.

Verse 10: ”And said unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.”

After the master of ceremony had tasted the new wine, although he was carnal, he knew the uniqueness of that wine, and unknowingly, he recommended the wine to the world by his words to the bridegroom.

So, Jesus gave the holyspirit to the people in the wedding at cana to drink of the holyspirit, and never thirst again.
This manifested after Jesus had ascended, his disciples were filled with that new wine, there was no way they would escape the action of that wine.
That wine came to dwell in them forever, that wine was their comfort, that wine was their fulfilment of destiny.
That wine is your life, that wine is your power, that wine is your testimony of whom God is, that wine is ”THE HOLYSPIRIT”
Now, we do not thirst, cos we are filled, we are not desperate for righteousness like david, everything they thirst for now resides in us.
The BEATITUDES Jesus spoke about is now fulfilled in us, Glory.

Summary: How do you get this? Simply believe and confess Jesus as your saviour, then believe in the baptism of the holyspirit.
Confess it, and see yourself manifesting in the evidence[tongues]
You are good to go.
He that is in heaven smiles…

cont… Now see this. John 2:3
”And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, ”THEY HAVE NO WINE[SPIRIT]”
Now let’s see verse 4: Jesus said unto her, ”Woman, what have I to do with thee? ”MINE HOUR IS NOT YET COME”
This might seem like just a wedding at cana, but it’s more than that.
Mary could sense man’s need for wine, unknowingly, she knew exactly what man lacked, wine.

Ephesians 5:18 – ”And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the spirit.”
Acts 2:13 – ”Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.”
Wine is an emblem of the holyspirit. So, even those who thought they mocked the 120 new Jesus at Jerusalem in the upper room got the exact revelation. ”THEY WERE DRUNK WITH NEW WINE” kabosh. Hallelujah.

Back to John 2…
Mary spoke ignorantly when she said
”They have no wine”, but Jesus is a spirit, so he said ”Mine hour is not yet come.”
He was simply saying it is not time for me to be crucified, to die and to ressurrect, but even Mary did not understand; let’s continue.

Verse 7: ”Jesus said unto them, fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
Now what is this water?
John 3:5 – ”Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 4:14 – ”But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

What is it that Jesus gave? The WORD. Jesus was a teacher of the word of life when he lived among men. Now what or WHO exactly is the WORD?
John 1:1 – ”In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God”

God and Jesus are one, no wonder he said ”I and my Father are one. Therefore, Jesus is the word, and the word is the water, so ”Jesus is the water”

Our guest for this week is the president of HWC himself, Abiola Inioluwa Oluwaseun. Enjoy this message of his, it’s in series…

This teaching has got 3 series, it will end on Wednesday, enjoy…

After Adam lost his rightful authority, man became thirsty of the good things of life he had lost. Nothing good comes out of anywhere except from God, so man needed God. Man became thirsty of righteousness, of Grace, of eternal life, of salvation, but only God could give that.

Unfortunately for man, he was corrupt and God could not dwell in him, he was subjected to Satan, not to God.
Man had brought out the flaws in himself, so he felt he was not worthy of God. So man was helpless; that’s exactly why david said in Psalm 51:11
” Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not the holyspirit from me.
In the previous verse, he asked God to create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him.

So man knew he was imperfect, full of darkness and he was hopeless as well, that was exactly why man needed the holyspirit. The holyspirit would make man a perfect being once again, but he only resides in a spirit subjected to God, and man was not subjected to the father, so man needed a saviour, and Jesus came.

Matt 5:6 says ”Blessed are they which do thirst and hunger for righteousness, for they shall be filled. Man needed a stomach, to drink till the fullest.
The holyspirit only came upon the prophets and priests, and that’s when there was a special need for him, he would then come upon them[The leaders], he never resided in them.

So man needed the holyspirit, and to have him, he needed perfection.
See this [John 14:16 & 26]
Man needed a walk with God without guilt, and he would not have that without his walk with the holyspirit. Man needed a comforter, not a sojourner, he needed he who would make him his abode. God knew exactly what man needed, and man was never gonna get him until he was sanctified and forgiven his sins, that’s where the ministry of Jesus came in.

Now see this… John 2:3…

Hello, glorious saints. welcome to the abode of the knowledgeable. a place where freedom is birth through the knowledge of the finished work of christ. my name is Ojuola Oloruntobiloba, a teacher by calling and currently serving my fatherland via the NYSC program. welcome on board with me and my other members. thanks to our brother and leader Abiola Inioluwa for giving me this priviledge.

yes! i will be speaking on the topic ‘REDEMPTION’ though not a new word to be heard, and with the teaching anointing upon me, trust God to speak out his word through me in fullness.

From the greek concordance, redemption is a word laden with deep meaning is ‘parak’ which means ‘to tear loose’, ‘to rescue’. it also means ‘agorazo’ which means ‘to purchase’. also ‘lutron’ which means ‘a ransom’. so literarily, redemption means the payment of ransom of a particular item in exchange for another item. so as believers, redemption is the payment of a particular price over us so as to make an exchange for us into freedom. lets check scriptures

Eph1:7(kjv) %In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

NB: i want us to note as believers that we are not trying to be redeemed, or we will be redeemed. no! it is we have redemption i.e we have been redeemed. through what? the forgiveness of our sins.

now, why redemption?

before i answer that, let me beg the question. why not redemption? cos as a matter of fact, nobody is free from sin without Christ. every body without christ is a sinner. mind you every human born into this world was/is a sinner. what is only needed to be a sinner is to be born into this world. through the line of adam. only one person throughout lifetime was not born through the lineage of adam. and that is jesus and that is why he can form the basis of our redemption. so redemption is expedient to humanity.

the world is like a dungeon in which humanity find herself. humanity has been smeared with the stain of sin. by one man, sin entered the whole world(1cor15:22) and through that sin, death entered the whole world. death here means ‘to cease to exist’ so the moment adam sinned, man ceased to exist before God. humanity was alienated from the supreme divinity.

someone might ask ‘but why cant God just decide another creation and destroy the corrupt earth?’ the answer is ‘God is not a man that will change his mind(num23:19). he has declared that man should be fruitful and multiply, he told man to replenish the earth and subdue it(gen1:22). with that statement, the fruitfulness of man can never be altered by anyone again. not even God cos he is omniscient. that is the more reason why the fruits coming out of adam had to be redeemed back to life.

back to our discussion, humanity died the moment adam sinned. if you check the meaning of the word ‘sin’ in that ephesian 1:7, sin there means ‘paraptoma’ meaning ‘a side slip’, ‘fall’ ‘a lapse or deviation’. so the moment adam slipped from his position, humanity at large slipped from the position. humanity found herself in a dungeon. a dungeon of hopelessness. there is always a subconsciousness in man that he is missing something devine. trust me, every tribe and religion knows and believes there is life after death. but no man! i mean no man has ever been able to give a positive assurance of what its gonna be. everyman knows he is going to face judgement on every of his actions on earth, but no man can affirm of his acquittance before the judgement throne.

this fear now embattles man into a frantic race. we saw great men who ran and ran so as to earn Gods favour even in their death doom state.

Job, a man who God himself acclaims to be righteous in his works became the worst sinner when the heart cry of humanity for a saviour dawn upon him. some people talks of his fears that he did want protection from God, that was why he kept sacrificing! not really that, he was seeking a right standing approval from God. you know what, he never found one. he even recounted his good deeds before God so as to earn a reputation. he later became a fool. check this out

job10:15 %If i be wicked, woe is me; and if i be righteous, yet will i not lift up my head. i am full of confusion; therefore, see thou mine affliction.

so from the passage above, you too judge, which side can one be? the wicked side in which is full of woe or the righteous side which is full of shame of no standing. thats the peak of confusion and foolishness humanity finds herself. Job later uttered a powerful statement

job9:33-35 %neither is there any man betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both. 34%let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me: 35%then would i speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me.

alas! Job longed for a saviour! he needed redemption!

what shall we say of David too? he knew he had no hope after this life. he knew his only hope of praising God is only on this earth. he knew his abode. the grave! where silence and chain is the ultimate goal(psalm31:17), a place termed the abode of destruction(psalm88:11) i believe he would even wish not to die. he too at last longed for a saviour(psalm49:15)

what shall we say of solomon too, he basked in the euphoria of his multifaceted wisdom in his youthful days, he searched and researched everything around him, but in his quest for knowledge, after much of his years on earth, he became a fool! yes! a fool cos of what his life after death will be. he had no hope or glimpse of what his after life will be. he termed everything in this world vanity and the passing away of air. see this

Ecc9:10% for whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. he knew his final abode is the grave and he knew there was no wisdom therein, he yearned for a saviour!

he became foolish despite all his wisdom(ecc6:12).

heeeeey! believers in christ! all thanks be unto God! cos the least of us in the kingdom is greater than them all(matt11:11). do you know why? we forcefully take our inheritance by the force of our confession(vs12).

do you know how this was made possible? i mean you being greater than all the prophet? its because our starting point in this kingdom is the assurance of eternal life(john10:28-29). first he forgave all your sins through the use of his blood(eph1:7) thereby making you as clean as himself before God the father(john15:3) through the word of eternal life sent to us. this word was heard, seen, looked upon and handled by those that gave it to us and we are also handling him in reality. i mean jesus, the word of life.

so believers! even if you think you don’t have anything, you have the fullness of the assurance of eternal life. that is the work of his redemption. he bought us with his blood and ransomed us back to the father. for you to be with the father is to share a taste of his personality: eternal life.

all glory be to jesus forever more for his work of redemption for us. i believe you have been blessed. so stay blessed in the knowledge of God and of his Son Jesus christ. amen!

As usual, he will share with us the word of God, and he shall also be interviewed… You wanna know his name, wait till then… #laughs
you can follow us @

or innyoluwa1@gmail.com
you can also follow us on our facebook page ”HWC”

Goodmorning great folks…
And this is our interview with our guest for this week, ”Sir Jeremiah Peters”, enjoy… #winks

Interviewer: Please can you introduce yourself to the house?

Sir Jeremiah: -I’m Jeremiah Ohigbochie Praise. I’m fron Edo State and I live in Ibadan. Nigeria.

Interviewer: Could you tell us about your religion, [if it’s a religion to you] what it entails?

Sir Jeremiah: -Christianity is awesome yet simple. It’s all about Jesus

Interviewer: Tell us about Christianity and you, your work with Christ, Your walk with the holy spirit, and your experience in the family as a whole…

Sir Jeremiah – Being Christ-like has been an experience beyond words. Full of mysteries and yet new ones are being unravelled every second.

Walking with the Holy Spirit has been life transforming. Daily renewal of the mind, more growth in the word, clear bearings towards the future.

2 Cor 3:18 “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

See, it is beyond reasoning of the natural man.

Interviewer: For those who wants to receive the life of Christ, if they were to come to you, what would you have done?

Sir Jeremiah: Matthew 28 has the answer

Matt 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
20 “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

This will I do.

Interviewer: It has been said that the mistakes these people make in the future after receiving the life of God would cut them off from the love of Christ, how true is it?

Sir Jeremiah: If man should lose the life of God because of his mistakes, then there’s no difference between blood of Jesus and that of bulls and goats.
Jesus is the author of eternal salvation (Heb 5:9) but then, shall we continue in sin and say grace may abound? The life of God is not subject unto sin because he that is born of God sinneth not but keepeth himself (1 John 5:18) and this can be done by the renewal of mind (Rom 12:2) which is achieved by the entrance of God’s word (Ps 119:130) into our lives.

Interviewer: Lastly sir, how do we grow as christians?

Sir Jeremiah: Love God. If you love him, then you can obey his commandments (I’m not talking about the ten commandments though) and you can’t know his commandments without studying the word under the tutelage of the Holy Spirit.

Interviewer: Wow, that’s beautiful… It’s wonderful having you here on HWC weekly messages and interviews, pls we would like to have a poem of yours, to inspire and edify our world.

Sir Jeremiah: you have it sire

Man Of Sorrow

Whipped by thorny whips
Bruised, yet he remained humble
Little did they know-
About the coming exchange

Myopic beings, immoral mortals
Them, he came to save
Yet, him they scorned
Beat, wounded and mocked

His flesh was ruptured
His head, prickled
And limbs were punctured
Like a bunch of perforated sheets

Through this intoxication of anguish,
He still remained blameless
Just because of this grace,
He faced a very big disgrace

He went into the abyss of the world
Collected its keys with his word
Saved me from the domain of the evil one
And made me qualified to be God’s worthy ward

The depth of his love
Will ever be unfathomable
The endurance of his sufferings,
Will ever reside in the abode of mystery

No power nor plot, no life nor fault
No height nor depth, no plus nor minus
Can ever snatch me from the love of Jesus
For I’m trapped in him, once for all

His life for mine
Mine for His
It’s a beautiful exchange

Worshipping The Father

Worshipping The Father

Worship is an act of showing reverence to God in spirit and in truth. Now, reverence is a feeling of deep respect mingled with love for someone one holds divine.
Also, worship is an act of standing in awe of God in spirit and in truth. And awe is a feeling of fearful or profound respect inspired by the greatness of a person.

John 4:23 “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”
%v 24% “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Worship is not thinking about the bad incidents around the world and then lifting up your hands and singing with loud voice unto God. NO! That’s worshipping from your emotions and fears. And in a little time, you get tired.

According to John 4:23-24, a true worshipper worships in spirit and in truth. And how do you do that?

Be born again and then be Holy Spirit baptised.
To worship God in spirit and in truth, your inspiration must come from the word of God through your spirit.

Job 32:8 “But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.”

2 Tim 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

Now, you’ve seen what the inspiration of God gives. It has given the word and without the entrance of the word into your spirit, then the understanding can’t be given.
How do I know?

Psalms 119:130 “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”

You see, without the Spirit (Holy Spirit), you can’t even worship in truth.
John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

So, the word of God is the truth and it can never be unravelled to anybody save the man filled with the spirit of God.

1 Cor 2:11 “For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.”

1 Cor 2:14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

So, it is the understanding of God’s word which can only be attained by the Holy Spirit that makes you worship aright and that’s why people can spend long hours just worshipping God.

The natural man needs an inspiration from the evils around the world before “worshipping” but a spiritual man is a man of worship because that’s what he does all the time.

So as a believer, study the word of God under the tutelage of the Holy Spirit always, so that it can enter into you that you can know how to worship the Father. And when you study the word, all you should see is Jesus because He is the word of God!

In 2 Samuel 6,
If David could leap and dance naked to the Lord because the ark of God which represents God’s presence is being brought into his house, how much more we that the Father has decided to reside inside of by the Holy Spirit.

Jeremiah Ohigbochie Praise, hail from Edo State, Nigeria. He was born on the 21st of February and currently resides in Ibadan, Oyo State. Nigeria.
He’s the son God loves and he loves Him too. The reflection of the word, the image of the father and born of the spirit.

He blogs at jaimhigher.wordpress.com where by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit preaches the gospel in the light of the father, so as to bring more souls to the knowledge of truth and for the eyes of understanding of many to be enlightened.

In Jesus, we win…
